AUTHORITY Thames
Yacht Club, Inc.
RULES Races
will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, prescriptions of US
Sailing, Rules of the Force 5
Class Association and the Sailing Instructions. Advertising will be restricted to Category A.
DATES There
will be two racing series. Races
for First Half will be on May 31 and June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 5 and 12. Second Half races will be July 19 and 26 and August 2, 9, 23 and
30. First Warning will be 1800
each day.
ENTRY
FEES The
Entry Fee for each Series shall be $35 or $60 for both halves. Non-US Sailing members shall pay an
additional $3. Non-TYC member
guests shall pay $10 on each racing day (if not entered for a whole
series). Payment shall be made to
a race official.
ELIGIBILITY The
seriesŐ is open to all owners/charters of any Force 5 boat. Membership in Thames YC not required.
RACING
AREA Racing
will be on the Thames River adjacent to Thames YC in the vicinity of the Queen
Merry. Courses will be announced from the
committee boat.

INSTRUCTIONS Sailing
Instructions will be available prior to or on the first day of racing.
SCORING Scoring
for each series will be in accordance with the Low Point System of RRS,
Appendix A. To constitute a
series, a minimum of 5 races must be completed. To qualify for a Series standing a skipper must start at
least seventy per cent (70%) of races held.
PRIZES For
each Series with at least 7 entrants, prizes will be awarded to the 1st,
2nd and 3rd place boats. Prizes will be awarded SkippersŐ Night, Friday, September 7th.
OF
LIABILITY Competitors
participate entirely at their own risk.

The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material
damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to,
during, or after the seriesŐ.
OTHER Each
participating skipper must serve race committee duty at least once over the
course of both series.
