Race Thames Yacht Club 2007 Chowder Series

Dates Sunday, September 23, 30, October 7, 14, and 21 and 28.

Rules The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, US Sailing Prescriptions and the Sailing Instructions. This is a non-spinnaker event.

Starting Line Thames River at the Queen Merry, off the TYC Clubhouse.

Classes Classes will be assigned by the Race Committee according to PHRF numbers and hull design. One design classes of three or more entrants will be established.

Ratings PHRF Ratings as assigned by PHRF of Long Island Sound or TYC. Please attach copy of 2007 PHRF Certificate. Time on Time scoring will be used except for one-design classes.

Race Info Skippers Meeting at the Thames Yacht Club at 1130, Sunday, September 23. Sailing Instructions, Scratch Sheets, and information course charts will be available there, or from the Race Committee on the Queen Merry prior to the first warning.

First Warning 1310 each race day.

Courses Courses will be determined by the Race Committee each Race Day.

Finish Line Thames River at the Queen Merry, off the TYC Clubhouse.

Scoring The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A, Rule A2 of the Racing Rules of Sailing shall apply. Completion of any 2 of the 6 scheduled races shall constitute a series.

Trophies 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each class with at least 5 entries. For Thames Yacht Club members the results will be consolidated with the Spring Chili Series for combined awards.

Presentation Race results will be announced at the Clubhouse after each race. Prizes will be awarded at the Thames Yacht Club after the last race on Sunday, October 29.

Entry Fee $35 per boat payable to ÒTYCÓ. Add $3 if the skipper is not a member of US Sailing.

US Sailing member number needs to be provided.
