TYC is a friendly, informal yacht club with a wide range of activities including sailboat racing, cruising, junior sailing instruction, and social events.
The Club is located on the Thames River with direct access to the Long Island and Fishers Island sounds.

Thames Yacht Club helps bring sailing to the next generation:
DICK ROBERTS YOUTH SAILING PROGRAM, INC.
Richard H. Roberts was a central figure in racing activities at Thames Yacht
Club for nearly 40 years, much of which was in support of Junior Sailing.
With his passing on October 25, 2002, Dick's family established the DICK
ROBERTS YOUTH FLEET FUND. This fund has grown and matured, and has
recently been awarded 501(c)3 status. The program will continue to assist
Thames YC in providing
boats, sails and equipment for the training and instruction of pre-teen and
teen age children in the sport of sailing and appreciation of the sea, with
some emphasis on racing. Those wishing to make a contribution may send it
